FPSI provides Candidate Orientation Guides for three entry-level law enforcement tests: the NDST, the NPST, and the PACT. Candidates should select the guide corresponding to the test used by the agency to which they applied. This is the only choice that affects their, optional, preparation.
Some guides are offered in multiple versions. These versions are identical in their instructions and explanatory content; they differ only in the practice items included at the end. Therefore, any version of the PACT Guide is appropriate for candidates taking the PACT. The NPST and NDST Guides are each available in a single version.
Choose the guide that corresponds to your test (NDST, NPST, or PACT). If you want more practice items, you may use additional versions, but they are not required.
