Listed below are the current entry-level firefighter testing products FPSI offers for recruitment purposes. This document is intended to assist you with identifying the most appropriate tests to use based upon the knowledges, skills, abilities, and personal characteristics (KSAPCs) you are most interested in measuring, as well as the minimum qualifications of your candidates.

Practical Skills Test (PST) Repair and/or maintenance of equipment/tools, use and operation of equipment/tools, and problem solving, analysis, and decision-making related to fire technology and science

Certified Firefighter Test (CFT) Job knowledge (IFSTA Essentials 6th Edition and Brady Emergency Care 11th Edition with various human relations skills included)
